Keynote Speaker, Garrett L. Walsh, M.D., Head, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery will be providing an overview of recent advances in technology of the PeriOperative Enterprise Group at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He will discuss the advances in surgical technology and some of the changes made in the OR area at MDACC that have created substantial savings in operating expenses. Additionally, he will discuss the future plans for MDACCs new operating rooms and how they will be included in the overall logistics of the Alkek Hospital. His insight and perspective should provide a thought provoking look into opportunities in integrating technologies with patient care and business objectives.
Following Dr. Walshs Keynote address we will hear from a panel of Industry Experts discussing new and emerging technologies affecting patient care. The focus will be to learn of the new technologies that may affect the built environment as well as future care modalities.
