The Architecture Center Houston Foundation
is a non-profit education organization designated by the IRS as a 501 (c)3 corporation that
promotes awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the ways in which architecture and urban design
influence the built environment and enhance the quality of life in the community.

Architecture Center Houston Foundation (ArCHF) is a non-profit
organization that promotes awareness,
understanding, and appreciation of the ways in which architecture and urban design influence the built invironment
and enhance the quality of life in the community.

The Foundation looks for projects that are exemplary in effect and have the potential for significant impact on:
Public Awareness of the benefits of good design
Quality of Life in the Houston area
Civic Environments
The Public Realm
The projects should:
Elevate the Human Spirit.
Have a Public Purpose and Public Support.
Create Civic and Cultural Capital/ Benefit beyond the project itself.

Document the work done to date:
Cover Letter
In a cover letter, summarize the project and state clearly the amount of money that your are requesting.
Grant Request
Write a clear proposal.
Document the work done to date.
Who are your supporters? (Community Leaders, Foundations, Public Officials, etc.)
What research supports the underlying concepts of the project?
How feasible is the project?
What do you hope to accomplish?
Acknowledgment
How will the Architecture Center Houston Foundation be acknowledged?
Schedule
Provide a realistic timetable for funding, design, and implementation of the project.
Budget
Project income and expenses in a detailed, legible way. Show financial support you expect to receive in addition to the grant requested from the ArCH Foundation.

History of the sponsoring group or organization
Tax status of the organization
A list of the Board of Directors
Financial statement or tax return from previous year
Other supporting documents, including letters of support.
Reporting
The ArCH Foundation Board of Trustees requires a written report at the completion of the project (or within one year, whichever comes first), including evidence of acknowledgment of ArCH contribution and a financial accounting of how the granted monies were spent.
